Jacek Mrowczyk, Czeslawa Frejlich (POL), Rita Halasi and Dániel Barcza (HUN) / February 2013
In cooperation with the Dutch embassy in Poland, the institute invited the journalists Jacek Mrowczyk and Czeslawa Frejlich of the Polish magazine 2+3D Design to the Netherlands. They were preparing a special Dutch design issue and wished to learn more about talented emerging designers, sustainable design and open design projects. They visited design studios, academies and museums; attended the Object Rotterdam design fair; and stopped by Het Nieuwe Instituut and met staff members. Rita Halasi of Budapest Design Week and Dániel Barcza of Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design Budapest also took part in the tour, with assistance from the Dutch embassy in Hungary. 2+3 D's 38-page Dutch design special reported on the visit in words and pictures.
