Carol Seigel will come to the Netherlands primarily to visit the Sonneveld House, where the intervention by Inside Outside/Petra Blaisse is currently on view. Curator Hetty Berens will give Seigel an in-depth tour of the house and Het Nieuwe Instituut. Seigel will give a talk to Het Nieuwe Instituut staff members about the events she organises at the Freud Museum, located in Sigmund Freud’s former house in London. 


Carol Seigel has been director of the Freud Museum in London since 2009. There, she organises much-talked-about exhibitions and interventions, such as those by artists Louise Bourgeois and Santiago Borja. She studied history at Cambridge University and Birkbeck, University of London. She has worked in museums in London for nearly twenty years, including as curator of Social History at the Jewish Museum and running public programmes at the Museum of London.
